Our Mission

The De Rosa foundation is dedicated to raising colon cancer awareness and promoting colon cancer research to advance its prevention and early treatment. We offer outreach support for those newly diagnosed with colon cancer. We have an advisory board of doctors who are able to guide patients through the next steps, and recommend treatment options. For more information please click on the “contact us” page.

The DeRosa Foundation’s most ambitious undertaking thus far has been its annual dinner gala, a large-scale event that takes place every year in early spring. The event includes a dinner, dancing, raffles, a silent auction, and educational lectures from medical professionals.

The funds provided by the DeRosa Foundation  which were generated from the 2008 Dinner Gala were used in part, for salary support for the current Research Study Assistant involved with the efforts of the Hereditary Colorectal Cancer Family Registry at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. The Registry Registrar plays an important role in recruiting into, expanding on, updating  and maintaining the Registry member information. The Research Nurse is dedicated fully to the Mission of the Registry.

All proceeds  raised benefit Dr. Guillem’s colon cancer research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.
The De Rosa Foundation is a 501 C (3) not-for-profit organization.
